• Parenthood can be isolating and overwhelming, especially with the added stressor of mental healthcare needs. Today, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) affect 1 in 5 birthing and 1 in 10 non-birthing parents. I offer individual, couples, relationship & intimacy therapy to address perinatal depression, anxiety, and OCD; birth trauma and loss; fertility challenges; sexual disconnection; and other areas of concern that arise during pregnancy and the postpartum period. My practice is dedicated to bringing awareness to these often neglected and stigmatized challenges. I also work with adults seeking general mental health support, unrelated to parenting or partnership.

  • I follow a humanistic, client-led model with an emphasis on treating symptoms and contributing factors as they relate to your unique challenges, relationships, and environment. Using a blend of psychodynamic theories, family systems, existentialism, and emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), treatment goals are clearly outlined and created collaboratively to address your mental health needs. Couples and relationship therapy is loosely based on The Gottman Method, using a combination of individual sessions at intake with extended joint sessions. Overall, my aim is to understand what feeling better would look like for you, how to make it happen, and how to support and sustain your wellness journey.

  • I have over fifteen years of experience in community-based social work and psychotherapy. As a Hunter alum with roots in community organizing and advocacy, I view mental health within the framework of our larger structural barriers rather than an individual deficit, with an emphasis on meaning-making rather than behavioral approaches. After my own experience with prenatal depression, I was inspired to pursue training and certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C). This led to an interest in the identity re-formation, conflict, and grief that occurs within ourselves and our relationships as we transition from “self” to “parent” and "partner" to "team". I completed Levels 1-3 of the Gottman Institute Methods of Couples Therapy, and pursued training as a Certified Sex Therapy Informed Professional (CSTIP). I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the states of New York and New Jersey. In addition to this practice, I am a therapist at Momwell—a virtual mental health community dedicated to moms—board member of PSI's New York Chapter, and a single mom of two.
